Super Bowl XLIV Prediction

6:30 PM, Miami, Florida, February 7th, 2010
Indianapolis Colts vs. New Orleans Saints

It will start off as a much lower scoring game than expected, with the score 3-0 Colts after 1 quarter and 10-3 Colts at the half. Both offenses will figure things out in the second half, though. The score will be 20-17 Colts at the end of the third quarter. Down 24-23 with just under 6 minutes left in the game, the Colts will kick a field goal to make it 26-24 in their favor. That will remain the score for the rest of the game. With just under 10 seconds left in the game, Robert Mathis will force a Drew Brees fumble around midfield to clinch Indy's already apparent victory.

MVP: Peyton Manning

Touchdowns
Indianapolis:
Long bomb to Austin Collie
Short pass to Joseph Addai

New Orleans:
Medium length pass to Robert Meachem
Interception return by Roman Harper, off the hands of Pierre Garcon
Short run by Reggie Bush

Impact of injured players:

Dwight Freeney- Freeney starts the game, but leaves on New Orleans' second possession.
Reggie Wayne- Wayne plays, but is held to two catches. One, however, sets up the game-winning field goal.

I know this will probably be totally wrong, but I have to try, right?
